My name is Rahm Khalidi. I’m a freelance reporter for Breaking News Digest.
Growing up in the Holy Land my parents used to tell stories of their youth… how children from both Arab and Jewish backgrounds all lived together and played together. They called each other “cousin.”
Today, not so much.
Jesus wept at what was going on in Jerusalem during his day. Today, I have also. Likely, so have you. He asked that we pray for peace in the Land. Peace. And harmony. Our part of the world is a different place since October 7, 2023. We all long for venues where children from different walks of life can laugh and sing and play together in peaceful villages throughout the Land.
We can have hope. One day there will be peace and harmony. Can we be the ones to bring it back to our Land? We’re still putting together the parameters to showcase peace makers via the Kaarl Schwalm Peace Prize. Check back for further details. But until then, do a good deed or two and take care of your neighbors.

You may have found this site by way of my good friend Jim Corley. He’s written a few stories about me. The most recent is a novel called, “The Secrets of Solomon’s Seal.” I won’t spoil too many details. As you might imagine, there’s an ancient artifact involved. There’s a trip or two to St. Catherine’s Monastery in the mountains of the Sinai Peninsula. There’s plenty of adventure, villains, car and boat chases, along with modern day intrigue and espionage. Oh, and you might sense even a bit of romantic tension between myself and a certain Mossad agent.
I’d be honored if you looked it up. I think you’ll find the way Jim paints the vista in each chapter to be entertaining, even keeping you on the edge of your seat. It might be hard to put the book down. You can find it on Amazon and many other online retailers. Click here to order.
